He raises the poor from the dust …

There are times when the Scripture becomes dramatically clear. Consider this passage and see what God is doing among “throw away” women in Uganda who were selling their bodies just to feed their families.

1 Sam 2:8 – ​​​He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among royalty, and make them inherit the throne of glory …

During the ongoing radio ministry in Southwestern Uganda, among the Runyankole-speaking people, scores of “ladies of the night” have received Jesus and have turned their lives over to Him. This is a huge step, because many of these women are illiterate, abandoned, and have no other means to buy food for their children except to humiliate themselves to a torturous life of prostitution. They have no other hope.

The Lord gave me an idea, to launch the “Daughters of Hope Creations” to teach these women skills with which to have an honorable source of income. We had no money for this NEW LIFE GIVING program. I didn’t know if our partners would care about rehabilitating these broken lives. But we do not make decisions based on finances in hand; WE TRUST GOD.

We are trusting God for the funds needed to 1) launch the additional six areas of training; 2) to purchase additional sewing machines and appliances; and 3) to provide training for all 200 of those on a waiting list to be included.

• One woman can be trained in hair dressing for $75.
• One woman can be trained in tailoring for $200.
• One woman can learn soap making for $30.
• And more programs …

Each of the classes of women students begins with prayer and teaching from my mother’s (Dr. Daisy Washburn Osborn) book “The Woman Believer” and “Women and Self-Esteem.” They are being transformed from the inside! And now they are wanting to learn to read and write. LIVES ARE BEING RESTORED.
