When you read the stories of my parents’ journey from poverty and nothingness to the status of global leaders and influencers in the Kingdom of God, it may seem that God placed them on a destiny track beyond their choice. That’s not the way it was, especially for women, since often they are not given a choice.
Tradition teaches that the choices (and callings) of the husband are either automatically those of the wife, or are imposed on the wife. We know that these assumptions are those of tradition and/or culture. That is not God’s pattern.
