In the late 1940s, my parents, Drs. T.L. and Daisy Osborn, traveled to The People’s Church to visit the ministry of Oswald J. Smith. That great tabernacle was filled with bold declarations—words that pierced their hearts and shaped the course of their lives:

• “THE SUPREME TASK OF THE CHURCH IS THE EVANGELIZATION OF THE WORLD”
• “EVERYONE MUST GO OR SEND A SUBSTITUTE”
• “WHY SHOULD ANYONE HEAR THE GOSPEL TWICE BEFORE EVERYONE HAS HEARD IT ONCE?”
• “WE TALK OF A SECOND COMING WHILE MANY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE FIRST COMING”

THOSE WORDS STILL CHALLENGE US TODAY.

The darkness, pain, and desperate needs of our world cannot be ignored.

Jesus finished the work of redemption. The Holy Spirit empowers the believer to tell it. God’s plan is clear: His Spirit-empowered people are to announce His solution—Jesus Christ—to the world.

Every believer is a carrier of His life. Every believer is called – sent – to GO or SEND a substitute.

 THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE SOLUTION FOR EVERY HUMAN NEED.

And yet, today:

• 7,000 people groups remain unreached
• 3 BILLION souls are still waiting for even one witness
• The Gospel is only Good News—if it gets there in time.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15

FOR NEARLY 80 YEARS …

• Preaching face-to-face to millions in over 100 nations;
• Sponsoring more than 30,000 national missionaries;
• Providing Gospel resources in 130+ languages—free of charge;
• Establishing churches globally—at times, one per week;
• And today—we are pressing forward still: New methods … New languages … New nations … Same Gospel.

WHEN WE REFLECT ON ALL THAT GOD HAS DONE

When we reflect on all that God has done through the partnership of faithful friends like you, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Every seed you have sown has carried the Gospel. Every gift has helped reach someone still waiting. And yet—WE CANNOT RELAX. Now is the time to accelerate every effort to proclaim Jesus Christ to the nations. “Everyone must go—or send a substitute.”

THIS IS A MOMENT OF URGENCY.

Your gift sends a messenger in your place—carrying the Gospel to those who have never heard. I invite you today: Send your best seed; Pray for the laborers; Stand with us in this divine mission …
