Carrying the Gospel

More than 40 years ago, I came to Uganda with my mother, Daisy, carrying the Gospel.

I returned this year. The faces were different. A new generation had risen. Uganda had changed, BUT JESUS HAD NOT CHANGED. And neither had our mission.

Some journeys take you forward and backward at the same time. Standing in one place, I saw love-actions in the past and faces of a new generation before me.

Don’t just admire the torch – carry it

At the Carrying the Torch Conference in Uganda, my message to a new generation of believers and leaders was simple:

What God places in our hands is never intended to stop with us. The Gospel must reach the lost.

The Gospel flame must move—from believer to believer, nation to nation, generation to generation.

The seed planted 40 years ago continues to speak

At State House Entebbe, First Lady Janet Museveni remembered my mother coming to their home, praying with their family and placing Bibles in the hands of their four children. She was seeding the next generation.

Forty years later, the seed is still speaking. One of the daughters of President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, Bishop Patience Rwabwogo, is celebrating 20 years in ministry and church planting.

Dr. LaDonna is received by President Museveni, First Lady Janet, and Bishop Patience at the Uganda State House.

Exciting news! The Gospel can cross the world in seconds
