When the Covid-19 virus ravaged so many nations, Uganda was shut down. Churches closed. Vital markets closed. People became jobless. Over 3,600 died. People were dying on the streets from disease and starvation.
As soon as I heard this cry for help, my heart leapt and I I knew that our partners would respond with faith and finances to bring resurrection life to this region.
My answer was, “YES!”
This was the beginning of an explosive ministry to the Runyankore-speaking people, based in Mbarara, Uganda. These people live in the bordering nations of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
THE PLAN
Radio was the vehicle that God used, allowing me to announce the GOOD NEWS, HOPE and HEALING that only comes through Jesus Christ. Along with the local pastor, who served as my interpreter and the ministry coordinator, we developed a plan to reach SIX MILLION people who speak Runyankore.
THE PROGRESS
TODAY we are broadcasting on three stations, three times weekly. Each week I receive a detailed report of the new conversions and miracles that the people report. One dramatic testimony was the conversion of 30-50 former “ladies of the night” who had gathered around one radio. They chose to give their lives to Jesus and trust Him, rather than “vending” their bodies in prostitution. But these women needed a skill so that they could make an honorable living. Again, our response was, “YES!”
The “Daughters of Hope Creations” was birthed. This is a SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM to teach tailoring, hair dressing, bead and soap making, and knitting. This was a God-idea. Every Daughters of Hope Creations class begins with teaching from my mother’s book, “Women and Self Esteem.”

… provide a starter kit to every Daughters of Hope Creations graduate. Forty have graduated and there are 519 on the waiting list;
… continue broadcasting the Gospel of HOPE and HEALING three times weekly;
… continue planting churches in remote regions;
… translate and print “Women and Self-Esteem” into Runyankore for free distribution;
… train and install pastors in each new church plant;
… print and distribute “God’s Big Picture” in Runyankore to equip the believers; and
… continue training pastors and evangelists.
TOGETHER
TOGETHER we can continue the Gospel flood into Uganda, the DRC, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Jesus is the answer to the vast needs of the people. Make a commitment with us to be the VOICE OF HOPE where the need is the greatest. God sees your sacrifice and your heart.
