Fast forward to today, and Ugandans remember this historic event as the birth of their nation. Yoweri Museveni, the liberator, has been the president for an impressive 40 years, working tirelessly to rebuild and stabilize Uganda.
Pastor Patience invited me to a truly historic event in Kampala called “Light Up Uganda for Jesus.” It was a momentous occasion, resulting in the cooperation of all Christian leaders, including the Church of Uganda, Pentecostal churches, Catholic and Anglican leaders.
As the main speaker, my messages included the importance of unity within the Body of Christ, the significance of evangelism, and the vital role of miracles.
This “Light Up Uganda for Jesus” event has become a symbol of Uganda’s REBIRTH. The Osborn name is honored in Uganda and God is using us to accomplish His purposes for this great nation.
The atmosphere on Independence Grounds was electric! People were repenting, worshipping, committing to unity, and forgiving each other for their past bigoted behavior. It was an experience beyond anything I’ve witnessed in my 50 years of international ministry.
The Lord spoke to Pastor Patience saying, “For Uganda to rise, the Church must rise. And for the Church to rise, the Church must unite.” I believe this is God’s message for the believers in every nation.
There are 650,000,000 Spirit-filled believers in the world. If we work together, focusing on Jesus and His Gospel, the world will be saved!
