We see supernatural miracles every day as the Gospel of the resurrected Jesus is proclaimed. But when the dead come back to life, we must stop and shout a loud HALLELUJAH!
We see supernatural miracles every day as the Gospel of the resurrected Jesus is proclaimed. But when the dead come back to life, we must stop and shout a loud HALLELUJAH!
During the Festival of Faith & Miracles in Gompa City (also known as Ganta), Liberia a young woman came. I did not know that she was present, among the vast multitude that had gathered to hear about Jesus. After nine months of pregnancy the baby stopped moving. She went to the local clinic and the doctor told her that the baby was dead. He wanted to perform surgery and remove the dead fetus. But the mother had no money. So she continued to carry this weight in her womb.
When news of the Festival of Faith & Miracles spread throughout Gompa City, the young mother decided that she had to attend. By now she had carried the fetus for 12 months.
On the first day of the Festival, she accepted Jesus and laid her hand on her belly during the prayer for the sick. Remember, I didn’t know that she was present. BUT JESUS KNEW ALL ABOUT HER.
On the last day of the Festival, the woman came to testify and to tell her story. She began by saying, “I am no longer afraid!” I could see great faith in her so I simply said, “You will deliver a healthy baby!” I had no doubt because I know God’s promises. He is always ready to perform His Word when faith is activated.
Two days later I received a beautiful photograph from one of the local Gompa City pastors. It showed this precious woman with her newly delivered, healthy baby girl, named “LaDonna”. Is ANYTHING too hard for our God? Does He still raise the dead? Oh yes. With God, all things are possible if we will only believe.
These are moments that are etched in our memories and that equally launch us forward with the Good News of Jesus’ love and mercy!
